By creating an account, logging in, or using BaseSwap ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not register, log in, or use the App. BaseSwap is a private community marketplace for verified active duty military members, reservists, retirees, and DoD civilians.
You must be at least 18 years old and affiliated with the U.S. military or Department of Defense (active duty, reservist, retiree, DoD civilian, or eligible spouse/dependent) to use this App. By registering, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements. BaseSwap reserves the right to verify your military or government affiliation.
The App allows users to post listings, connections, messages, and other content. You are solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that is illegal, harassing, fraudulent, sexually explicit, hateful, threatening, or that violates the rights of others. BaseSwap does not pre-screen user content but reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.
BaseSwap provides tools to help keep the community safe. You can report objectionable content or block abusive users directly from within the App. When you block a user, their content is immediately removed from your feed, and the reported content is flagged for developer review. Reported users may have their content removed or accounts terminated if violations are confirmed.
You agree not to: (a) impersonate another person or falsely claim military affiliation; (b) engage in scams, fraud, or deceptive practices; (c) harass, bully, or intimidate other users; (d) post offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content; (e) use the App for any illegal purpose; (f) attempt to disrupt or compromise the App's security; or (g) collect user data without consent.
BaseSwap is a platform that facilitates connections between users. We do not participate in transactions between buyers and sellers, nor do we handle payments, escrow, or dispute resolution. All transactions are between users. You assume all risk for any transaction. BaseSwap is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. BaseSwap offers two-factor authentication (2FA) and strongly encourages its use. You must enable and complete 2FA verification when prompted. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at our support site. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may delete your account at any time from the App's Settings or Profile page. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data from the App. BaseSwap may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. BaseSwap is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App or interactions with other users. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes within the App.
